Hikes to Waterfalls

On each afternoon in Khao Yai, we hiked to a waterfall.  One was to Haew Narok and the other to Haew Suwat.

The students stayed in Guest Building 109.  It had lots of space for the students to spread out, including an upstairs deck.
Th hikes had a few challenges when going over streams.  Here's Raechel watching her balance.
Mikayla doing the same over another small stream.
Many vines and other vegetation had to be navigated around.  Here's Jordan lifting a palm frond out of her way on the way to Haew Suwat.
The hike along Haew Suwat is known for the couple crocodiles that live in the stream that parallels the trail.  Our students were busy chit-chatting and walking quickly to get to the waterfall and didn't see the croc.
Haew Suwat was featured in the movie The Beach, with Leonardo DeCaprio.

 Jordan and Natalie.
Jordan and Natalie again, but now at Haew Narok waterfall.
Here's the whole group at Haew Narok.
Mor Mark befriended a lonely sambar deer.  I think he named it Lori.
